From the 25th May 2018, the GDPR, or the General Data Protection Regulation, will overhaul how businesses process and handle data.
The GDPR imposes new obligations on organisations that control or process relevant personal data and introduces new rights and protections for EU data subjects.
It applies to data processing carried out by organisations operating within the EU. It also applies to organisations outside the EU that offer goods or services to individuals in the EU.
Maginus place particularly high importance on information security and we already comply with many standards that are relevant to information data security, including PCI-DSS. As a company, Maginus has GDPR responsibilities both as an employer and as a provider of solutions that are used to hold personal data.
Our GDPR preparation is well underway and as part of this process we have reviewed all our internal processes, procedures, data systems and documentation to ensure that we are ready when GDPR comes into force.
The purpose of this information pack is to provide you with a summarised guide to GDPR and where to look for further guidance. It includes a high-level summary of the regulations, links to relevant third-party privacy and compliance statements and information on our own Maginus OMS product.
Chief Executive Officer, Maginus
